How Is Your Investor Consultancy Programme Structured
Each project is bespoke but typically includes these parts:
- Chemistry meeting – introductions, objectives and exploratory questions to set the agenda and connect (we advise signing non-disclosure agreements at this stage, before any market sensitive or confidential information is shared).
- Research and preparation – the Bluewood team carry out in-depth analysis of your business, investment proposition/pitch or marketing materials, audience/analyst feedback and the likely concerns or questions that investors will have.
- Building the pitch – developing compelling decks, speaker scripts and materials that ensure your positive messages are communicated clearly and consistently throughout (this is discussed with you in regular feedback sessions to ensure it stays in line with the objectives).
- Coaching – one-one or small group sessions are held with your management team / speakers to strengthen delivery, presence and confidence. These can be as little as 1hr or a full-day, depending on what is needed. This coaching helps to check the narrative is being communicated consistently and in a way investors need to hear.
- Rehearsals – high pressure practice for the whole pitch team in realistic and testing scenarios. The session can test various formats from site visits to boardroom meetings or large presentations.
- Question handling – preparing robust responses to investor scrutiny and unexpected challenges. Through coaching we explain how to best deal with the difficult queries that the investor audience could have for your team.
- Ongoing support – our consulting team can provide continued guidance on investor engagement, messaging and strategy. Whether you need additional coaching or insight into the investment community, how to approach/find them and what opportunities they will be looking for from your pitch.
